There is a saying in the circles of dietary health, that we are what we eat. Nothing is more accurate to the spiritual and psychological life of the individual.

The eagle eats only things that are alive. He prefers to prove himself by catching his prey, rather than accepting something that was killed by something else. It lives beyond the reproach of others that what it is feeding on is what they have left for him. So, by that token, the principle of the left-over is far from his mind. He is also committed to that value, so much so that regardless of the circumstances it faces, it will not eat a dead thing.

How many people today compromise their values on the altar of expedience. This attribute is not about being arrogant but being deliberate and selective as to what it feeds upon.

I must choose what I feed on because it directly impacts my health and well-being. When I know my worth and the vision I have for my life, I must decide what and to whom I listen, to maintain my health.

The mind is the digestive system of the spirit and soul so Paul writes in Philippians 4:8 “finally my brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.”

Focus

Today choose what and who you listen to, because your health depends on it.

Prayer

Lord, our spiritual diet determines the health of our spiritual lives, so we seek you Father for the discipline and the discernment to eat what’s right, that it will nourish our spirits thoroughly. May we be ever pure before you and may what we consume be filled with your life, that we can also be filled with it. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Eagles are known for strong vision. It is believed that the eagle can spot its prey from 5km away. It is the only creature that can look directly into the sun and would not have to close its eyes because of its brightness. This is a remarkable quality that sets it apart from every other creature.

It is true of the child of God, that we should possess strong vision. Vision is the ability to clearly see your future as God has established it for you.

Clarity is key in your vision, as this will give you the requisite confidence and motivation to pursue it.

No one goes after something they can't see clearly. But as the eagle we also can look in a direction that most cannot look into. We are designed to see into the brightest and most radiant of environments and go towards it. But vision without focus is an individual with eyes and no feet.

Focus is the vehicle that takes us to the place of the manifestation of our vision.

Regardless of what is happening around it the eagle isn't distracted, but accelerates towards its prey with pin point accuracy.

Our vision and focus will provide for our sustenance and that of our dependencies.

The Bible tells us in Proverbs 29:18 where there is no vision the people are unrestrained. Vision in life disciplines us. It develops for us priorities and eliminates the non-essentials or invaluable that may cause us to lose control of our selves.

Focus

Develop a vision today and fasten your eyes upon it, go after it with discipline and determination and it will become a reality.

Prayer

Lord, your word tells us without a vision the people perish. We know that vision is critical for our continued well-being and growth. We know that we can see in limited scope with our natural eyes, but we declare vision today, that we will be able to see our future clearly, focus on it intently and accomplish it fully. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

The survival of the eagle is accomplished by one simple ability that he possesses, which is the ability to soar high.

The eagle is never worried about other birds attacking it, because they cannot get to where he is, or even being a threat to him. He soars way outside of the range of any normal or usual form of attack. He isn't worried about those who would see it and its weakness, that may seek to capitalize on its vulnerability, because no one can get this close to him anyway.

He exists at a realm where everything else is beneath and what's above or on a similar level are not seeking to destroy him.

Most often when we face attacks, it's an indication that we are flying too low.

That we are within the reach of too many low flying creatures, who would not appreciate our greatness, but seek to attack us for it.

In Ephesians 1 verses 4, 5 and 6 we read “but God who is rich in mercy because of His great love which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses and our transgressions, made us alive together by Christ and raised us up with Him and seated us with Him in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.

Focus

Your survival is directly attached to your altitude, so today please fly high. Leave the realm of the annoying ravens, sparrows and doves and go to your realm where you are at peace.

Prayer

Lord lift us up where we belong. By your power and the destiny you have crafted for us. We declare today that our altitudes will be supernatural, that we will find peace in heights with you. We ask forgiveness for every time we have failed to thank you for the qualities you have built in us to survive and the way you have shielded us even in our weak moments. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
