Hebrews 11:8-11 KJV 8 By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went. 9 By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise: 10 For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God. 11 Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.
Genesis 18:11-14 KJV 11 Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women. 12 Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also? 13 And the LORD said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old? 14 Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.
It seems that this story does not really fit into the Hall of Faith and rightly so according to our own human experience but in the eyes of God faith isn’t just dispensed but contains within it a restoring component.

God establishes component of faith that is rarely discussed and it’s that of restoration. There is an allowance written into a life of faith that says it is ok to have low moments and at times doubt but never to the point of abandoning our relationship with God.

1. Faith has a redeeming feature.
Past failures do not disqualify us from future victories of faith.
The stain of doubt is erased by the mercy of God.

2. Faith tested in delay
Our situations grow from possible to impossible as time goes.
The challenge is in making things happen when it is not happening according to our interpretation of the promise.

3. The Danger of Doubt
When personal realities are not cooperating with divine promises.
We must shift our focus from our limitations to God’s unlimited power.

4. The Rescue of His Faithfulness
Blessed to be permitted to participate
Faith was in the character of God and not the promises.

Conclusion
Our weaknesses don’t define us but our faith does
Waiting does not diminish the promise but refines our trust
God is faithful even when we struggle to believe it
