Text: Esther 4:10-16 KJV
Again Esther spake unto Hatach, and gave him commandment unto Mordecai; [11] All the king's servants, and the people of the king's provinces, do know, that whosoever, whether man or woman, shall come unto the king into the inner court, who is not called, there is one law of his to put him to death, except such to whom the king shall hold out the golden sceptre, that he may live: but I have not been called to come in unto the king these thirty days. [12] And they told to Mordecai Esther's words. [13] Then Mordecai commanded to answer Esther, Think not with thyself that thou shalt escape in the king's house, more than all the Jews. [14] For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father's house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this? [15] Then Esther bade them return Mordecai this answer, [16] Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish.
We are in a pivotal season in the existence of the church. By the mercy of God we are given an opportunity to make an impact and experience the power of God.
We are facing a parallel situation as found in the book of Esther.
Israel is in bondage and are about to be slaughtered as a nation. This hatred was not directed to one individual but it was toward the entire nation.
The plan is drawn up for their destruction and set in motion.
The instrument of their demise is constructed and is awaiting executive instruction.
The enemy’s anger and hatred is at an explosive level.
If God does not do something quickly death and destruction is inevitable.

God finds an individual through whom He can deliver His people.
He finds a most unlikely girl. Through His grace He orchestrates her rise to become queen of the kingdom of the oppressor.
She is now in the palace after winning the pageant staged by the king to find his queen.
She is miraculously queen. It’s a Cinderella story.
She seems to easily forget who she really is and might have been growing accustomed to the palace life.

A Time when your purpose confronts your position.
When your reason for being there defeats your right to be there.
When it’s not about the life you live but the legacy you leave.
Times of Conflict and your spiritual authority
In these times of conflict Mordecai shows up as an assigned spiritual authority in our lives.
He is not there to hurt our feelings but to help our focus.

It’s time to stop trying to fit in
It’s time to remember those outside of the palace
It’s time to stop living for yourself

This intervention makes six suggestions that must be considered.

Your position of privilege is God’s placement and does not change your identity.
Your position is access for a purpose beyond the comforts and pleasures of the palace.

Your decision is built on an understanding that you are not protected by your position but by your connection.
Your decision to compromise or abandon does not hinder God’s bondage breaking manifestation.

Your decision to compromise or abandon will bring judgement upon you and your bloodline.
Your consideration must be based on God’s grace in selecting you for this time and season.

Now Esther is restored, focus and faith.
How do we know that?
Vs 16
⁃ She responds to her spiritual authority in the affirmative.
⁃ She remembers her heritage and its resources.
⁃ She resolves based on an understanding of her reality

We can sense the urgency in her response.
We can see the commitment in her decision.
We have no time to waste. This is the season. The time is now.
