Ephesians Chapters 1 to 4; Acts 2
Bishop Dr. Eric Peters
Paul addresses the Ephesian church and introduces them to the Expectation of Salvation and not merely the Experience.
Expectation - The expressed intent of everyone receiving the gift of salvation.
Experience - The impacting occurrences of our encounter with Christ.

He in no way discredits the experience as he articulates the process and power of those occurrences that have brought them to this point.
HIS BODY, HIS WORK: The New Source & State
In chapter 1:1-12 he establishes that we:
Have a new life that creates a new source of all our blessings (heavenly places)
Have a new state (holy and blameless)
Have a new identity (adoption of children)
Have a new purpose (be gathered in Christ)
Have a new future (obtained an inheritance)

HIS BODY, HIS WORK: The Process
In chapter 2:1-10 he establishes the process as we:
· Had no life. Vs 1&2
· Had wrong direction. Vs 2&3
· Had no connection. Vs5

HIS BODY, HIS WORK: The Power
In chapter 3:1:12 he establishes the power as we:
· Had no hope. Vs 1.
· Received grace by His sovereign power extended grace. Vs 2
· Received revelation through divine access. Vs 5
· Received the right to the resources of heaven. Vs 6

HIS BODY, HIS WORK: The Revelation
In chapter 4 he now by divine revelation makes a connection and that has never been before made in scripture.
HIS BODY, HIS WORK: The Reality
Israel was known as
God’s people
The Apple of God’s eye

Paul uses not a metaphor but establishes a divine reality that we are the BODY OF CHRIST.
It is the spiritual and existential reality of the church.
This changes the game significantly because he is now establishing some facts through this revelation.
The Expectation of the Body
These facts also now establish the expectation of Christ as His body.

The Body is alive so it must grow and reproduce. Acts 2
The Body has an assignment so it must be busy in fulfilling it. Vs 8

The Body is functional so it must develop the parts. Vs 11&12
The Body is developmental so it must create the capacity to facilitate it. Vs 13 -15

The Body has an example to follow so it must evaluate itself by it. Vs 20

The part about victorious living really hit home—it’s so easy to forget that deliverance isn’t just a one-time event but a daily walk with Jesus. I’ve been using the devotional section to stay grounded in that truth, and it’s been a game-changer. Check out https://ai-songgenerator.com
This really hit home—the part about victorious living not being about perfection but about staying in step with the Spirit. I've been leaning on that truth daily, and it's been a game-changer for my quiet time. Check out the resource I mentioned. https://ai-picture-generator.net
The part about victorious living really hit home—it’s so easy to focus on the struggle instead of the finished work of the cross. I’ve been digging into the Soul Care section lately, and it’s been a game-changer for my quiet time. Check out https://crealitycloud.org
This really hit home—the part about surrendering our battles to Jesus instead of trying to fight them in our own strength is exactly what I needed to hear today. I've been using a daily devotional that breaks down this same victorious-living mindset, and it’s been a game-changer. Check out https://facefusion.pro
This really hit home—victorious living starts with surrender, not striving. I’ve been walking through a similar season and found the daily devotionals here incredibly grounding. Check out https://wanxaivideo.com
